Product Manager (all genders) (Consumer Lending / BNPL / Installment Loans)

Due to our continued success, we are currently looking for a Product Manager employed in Berlin or as a freelancer in germany.

• Product Strategy & Revenue

• Funnel Management & Conversion

• Risk Management Through Product

• Work with Risk Department to manage portfolio quality while keeping strong commercial domain.

• Build segmentation that reflects both profitability and default rate.

• Support decisions that balance growth, approvals, risk, and long-term value.

• Align offer and decisioning logic with responsible lending principles

• Retention & Lifetime Value

• Unit Economics & Profitability

• Compliance, Legal & Regulatory

• Ensure product design and communication comply with consumer lending laws.

• Keep a clear distinction between mandatory and voluntary product elements.

• Work with Legal and Compliance on new launches, changes, and disclosures.

• Analyze product complaints from customers, partner banks, and regulators and turn them into improvements

• Analytics & Experimentation

• Lead product analytics across funnel, approval, conversion, take-up, retention, revenue, and profit.

• Design and run A/B tests to improve conversion and customer lifetime value.

• Build business cases and review post-launch performance.

• Use data to find friction points and prioritize opportunities

• Cross-Functional Leadership

Your skills

Required Experience:

• 4+ years of Product Management experience.
• Experience in digital consumer lending.
• Strong understanding of lending products, customer acquisition funnels, and credit risk concepts.
• Experience working with data-driven decision making.
• Proven track record of launching and scaling digital financial products.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with product and portfolio metrics.
• You have confident and practical English language skills, German would be an advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in subprime lending or near-prime consumer finance.
• Understanding of underwriting, credit scoring, fraud prevention, and collections processes.
• Knowledge of German and EU consumer lending regulations.
• Familiarity with SQL, BI tools, and product analytics platforms
