We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager who can push the envelope of Okta’s Identity Management products by evolving our Identity Management platform to address the needs of the World’s largest organizations. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product strategy, vision, and roadmap of our Core Imports framework, ensuring that any user gets onboarded into Okta, gets least privileged access to their applications, and delivers the right security outcomes for all Okta customers. You will be an ideal fit for this role if you have Enterprise B2B SaaS experience and have experience working on high-scale, successful platform products.
Work Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Work Mode: Hybrid (2-3 days Onsite per week)
Note: "This role requires in-person onboarding and travel to our Bengaluru, IN office during the first week of employment."
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
1 - Driving the future roadmap for Core Identity Management: You deeply understand customer requirements around Onboarding identities and Group data, including Group memberships from various sources of truth such as Active Directory, LDAP Directories, or any other source of truth a customer has, and build the right product capabilities that enable Okta to become the central identity management plane for customers.
2 - Understanding key customer requirements and integration use cases across Okta. You understand the need of customers who leverage Okta’s new Identity Management product offerings, such as Okta Identity Governance and Okta Privileged Access, and are able to effectively prioritize and build the right product capabilities that are needed to make adoption of these products successful
3 – Executing a highly technical product roadmap. You collaborate with engineering and design to ship features that require a deep understanding of the customer’s technical complexities. You can develop creative short-term and long-term solutions to address customer issues and collaborate with other teams across Okta to achieve the same.
4 – Evangelizing our Okta platform with customers and other stakeholders. You should be an internal and external evangelist for Okta and advocate for why Okta’s Identity Management product offerings are the best choice for a customer to drive the right security, productivity, and compliance outcomes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Roadmap and Vision
- Set product strategy and direction for the Core Identity Management team on how to build the right platform that enables Okta’s Unified Identity Security fabric
Feature Delivery and Execution
- Work with your scrum team to deliver features on time, on target
- Regularly ship features that unlock key use cases
- Collaborate with design to spec experiences that delight customers
- Prioritize rigorously across many product investment areas
- Not afraid to get into the weeds to define features and experiences
Customer Engagement
- Engage with customers to deeply understand their challenges
- Develop immediate and long-term creative solutions for customers who have issues
- Understand challenges to the deployment and usability of the Okta end-to-end products
- Stay close to customers during beta programs and ensure that feedback is incorporated into the product
- Manage high-priority escalations when integrations break
Competitive Understanding
- Work with technical marketing and sales to deeply understand the Microsoft landscape and technologies like Active Directory.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of market changes and understand where trends are heading.
Own the Product!
- Evangelize the Unified Identity Security Fabric vision to other product, engineering, and sales teams
- Responsive in supporting the field on critical asks to make customers successful
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, MBA is preferred.
- 7+ years of product management or related experience
- Experience across the product management lifecycle for enterprise products or services
- Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal, and written)
- Strong leadership skills and presence
- Track record of successful delivery of company-critical projects
- Prior experience building integration products with SaaS applications or Active Directory is a huge plus
