Methodology
This index is built from real job listings that include explicit salary ranges. We parse compensation data from Ashby-powered career pages (which provide structured salary fields) and from job boards that include salary information (Jobicy, Remote OK, Remotive, Himalayas).
All figures are annualised and converted to USD where necessary. We exclude listings with compensation below $20,000/year (likely hourly or monthly rates). The data refreshes daily as new listings are ingested and old ones expire.
This is not survey data. These are actual compensation ranges that employers have published on their job postings. The sample is biased toward US-based and globally-competitive remote roles, which tend to pay higher than local-market positions.
