As an Associate Manager, Compliance within CX Global Financial Crimes Operations (GFCO), you'll join the Functional Lead team, a high-performing group responsible for ensuring Coinbase's compliance operations programs across Transaction Monitoring (TM), Screening, and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) operate effectively and efficiently. You'll own the compliance content function across all three pillars, lead a small team of contractors, and serve as an operational program manager for the TM function. You'll drive measurable efficiency gains by embedding AI into compliance content operations while maintaining rigorous quality standards.
What you’ll do:
- Own the end-to-end content lifecycle across TM, Screening, and EDD, managing intake, prioritization, creation, review, approval, publishing, and change communication for all procedural content, guidance documents, and job aids
- Lead a small team of 2-3 contractors, assigning work, setting priorities, and ensuring consistent quality and delivery against deadlines
- Drive program management for the TM function, hosting weekly change management meetings, tracking the book of work, resolving blockers, and reporting progress to senior leadership
- Build and deploy AI agents and automated workflows to scale content production, streamline intake processes, and reduce manual effort across daily operations
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, L&D, Operations, 2nd Line Compliance, and Program teams to align content and process changes across the organization
- Shape the AI strategy for the content domain, identifying opportunities for automation, building agent-driven solutions, and driving adoption across the team
Required skills and experience:
- 7+ years of experience in compliance operations, financial crimes, AML/BSA, or related regulatory environments
- Demonstrated program management track record, including managing 3+ cross-functional initiatives simultaneously with structured tracking and deadline-driven delivery
- Hands-on experience applying AML/BSA, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, or EDD regulatory frameworks in an operational context
- Proven ability to build and manage AI agents and automated workflows, including driving AI strategy and adoption within a functional domain
- Experience managing content lifecycles or knowledge management functions in a regulated environment, with published outputs used by front-line operations teams
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):$117,385—$117,385 USD
