Forward Deployed Engineer

Based in Paris, Lithosquare gathered an exceptional team of geologists, scientists, AI engineers, and data specialists to work as one - from field sampling to model optimization - and push the boundaries of what’s possible.

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who can bridge cutting-edge AI with practical geology. In this role you’ll collaborate closely with both our internal R&D team and exploration geologists - as well as our partners - to turn raw geology data into insights while leveraging Lithosquare’s Core Platform.

You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and you bring a proactive, solution-oriented mindset - especially when applying AI to practical, field-level challenges. The role is based in Paris with flexible remote working policy.

Reporting to the Head of Product as part of the FDE team, your main responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with our geologists and partners to surface pain points and translate them into solvable data or AI problems.

• Serve as a power user and early tester of new tools and features, conducting thorough evaluations to identify improvements and provide clear feedback to engineering teams.

• Master Lithosquare’s Core Platform while rapidly prototyping & refining on top of it

• Act as the technical face of our product in workshops, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements, distilling complex ideas for non-technical audiences.

• Work closely with Product & Technical teams to relay feedback & suggest improvements to the platform.
  

• 4+ years in Solutions Engineering, customer-facing Data Science, Pre-sales Engineering, or a similarly hybrid technical role

• Fluency in Python for data and ML, solid SQL skills, with hands-on experience using AI tools and LLM concepts

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

• Comfortable presenting prototypes, running technical workshops, and fielding tough questions from clients and scientists alike

• Passion for leveraging AI to make a positive environmental impact

• Familiarity with geology or geospatial data tooling (GeoPandas, raster/vector formats) is a plus
