About the Role

This is a high-visibility Senior Finance Manager opportunity to embed directly within Ocado’s Executive team, acting as a key financial partner to the Office of the CEO, Legal and Business Integrity, People, and Reward.

Working alongside senior leadership -including the Deputy CEO, Chief People Officer, General Counsel, and Head of Reward-you will own core financial processes across Group Operations, driving monthly management reporting, the annual budget cycle, and rolling outlooks while providing strategic decision support, cost-initiative challenge, and cash flow optimisation.

Reporting directly to the Head of Group Financial Planning, you will gain invaluable exposure to Group FP&A, Capital Markets, and Investor Relations, while also mentoring a Finance Business Partner to champion consistency and excellence across the Group Ops finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being a trusted finance business partner to key Group Operations functions

  • Leveraging a strong commercial and technical understanding of Ocado’s business to translate business strategy into financial plans through the preparation of Budgets and Outlooks
  • Providing strategic financial support to your business partners, helping to identify financial risks with proposed mitigations and evaluating the financial impact of key cost initiatives
  • Monitoring and reporting monthly spend against budget across partnered functions to support the business in delivering positive cash flow, proactively flagging risks and opportunities
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline finance processes and reporting within Group Ops, improving the quality of data and insight delivered to stakeholders
  • Providing support and guidance to the Finance Business Partner covering GTS, helping build consistency of approach across the Group Ops finance business partnering team

About you

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in an accounting or a finance business partnering role
  • Proficient in building trusted relationships with senior finance and/or non-finance stakeholders, including at Exec or Exec-1 level
  • Strong financial and management reporting skills, including ownership of budgeting and forecasting (Outlook) cycles
  • Confident using financial systems and BI tools (e.g. EPM, Looker or equivalent) and advanced Excel
  • High levels of resilience and positivity, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-driven to both begin and complete tasks, comfortable operating with a lean team and ambiguous or evolving scope
  • Proactive drive for continuous improvement and automation to yield process efficiencies and elevate output quality
  • Experience supporting or mentoring more junior finance colleagues (desirable)
