Junior Graphic Designer

Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Shalwa, Kumo, Parker’s, Somewhere and Public.

We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer who shares our passion for hospitality and amazing food, to join our Creative team. You will work with a particular brand to create food-related content for use across multiple platforms, with guidance and support from senior designers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the creative process, from understanding project requirements to producing high-quality graphics.
• Assist in shaping the visual identity of product packaging and retail pop-ups, ensuring a consistent brand presence.
• Use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop to create and adapt professional design assets.
• Turn marketing and production briefs into compelling visuals across digital and print platforms.
• Prepare and adapt design materials for multiple formats while following brand guidelines closely.
• Collaborate with the Creative team, contributing fresh ideas to improve the look and feel of all brand touchpoints.
• Take on feedback and revisions positively and deliver work on time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in graphic design (internships included)
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
• A portfolio showing food, hospitality, retail or packaging work (a bonus, not essential)
• Good eye for detail, layout and typography
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
